KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Delhi Capitals (DC) has sealed a place in the Qualifier 1 beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets in Match 55 of the Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
Despite the defeat, RCB has also made it to the playoffs because of their NRR. Three teams -- RCB, DC and Mumbai Indians-- have qualified for playoffs so far.
RCB, which was also eying a place in the playoffs, had to make sure that DC did not chase down the target in 17.3 overs and their bowlers did the job, denying the DC a chance to cross the finish line before the 17.3-over mark.
Winning the toss, DC had elected to bowl first and was successful in holding RCB in 152 runs in loss of seven wickets.
With a good batting line up of DC with Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis made sure that DC registered a win and with it a place in the top two.
