Dayahang Rai appointed as the brand ambassador of NEUFF 2021

Delegation of the European Union to Nepal appointed actor Dayahang Rai as the brand ambassador of Nepal-EU Film Festival (NEUFF) 2021 on Monday.

The tenth edition of the festival will take place virtually from September 17 to 25. The festival also entails announcing, awarding and screening the best short film on 'gender equality theme' organized by the Delegation as well as interesting interactions and workshops on cinema besides screening of the films as per the press statement released by Delegation of the European Union to Nepal.

Quoting the Delegation, the press release stated, "We are proud to inform that Dayahang Rai, the famous actor, will be working together with us as (Brand) Ambassador for this festival to fully embody the (vivid) dialogue between our cultures and visions of the world during this whole week. The festival will bring to you all a mixture of films – European, Nepali and movies from the region on environment challenges and climate change. Likewise, it quoted Dayahang Rai saying, “At the time when the film related activities have been halted due to the Covid-29 pandemic, the very act of organizing the festival is commendable. Since the festival will also screen Nepali films, this has added excitement. This festival is also an intercultural exchange. The festival will also contribute significantly to increase our cinematic literacy.”
