POKHARA, Jan 31: Cameroon’s Dauphins Family Club has advanced into the quarterfinals of the ongoing sixth Manakamana Cable Car Pokhara Cup defeating A-Division League outfit Chyasal Youth Club 1-0 in Pokhara on Wednesday.
Dauphins’ Ikwin hit a free-kick from 30 yards out, and the ball was headed in by Yanick in the 12th minute to take the lead. Both the teams got chances to score, but could not convert them. Sayalo Martin of Dauphins hit a shot in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just whisked away from the top of the bar.
Chyasal’s Hemant Thapa Magar hit a shot in the first half, but the ball hit his teammate Victor Amoebi. Sunil Khadka got the ball in his path, but his shot was cleared from the goalline by Armel Akando. Pokhara XI will take on Brigade Boys Club on Friday.
