KATHMANDU, Oct 7: A couple’s daughter died while their son is still missing when the motorcycle the four were traveling on lost control and overturned on a flooded road between Thulo Khola and Simtar in Kakani Rural Municipality-1 on Thursday.

The daughter of Shiva Ram Ghimire, Bebisha Ghimire, 8, died on her way to hospital after she was rescued after falling from the motorcycle due to the sudden flood triggered by incessant rain. The couple’s son, four-year-old Shriyan Ghimire, is still missing in the flood.

The family residing at Kakani Rural Municipality-2 of Nuwakot, including wife Anju Adhikari was returning home after receiving tika from their relatives. The bike overturned on the road which was flooded due to incessant rain. Both the children were swept by the flood.
