DAO Chitwan granted naturalized citizenship to 39 people in FY 2022/23

CHITWAN, July 19: The District Administration Office (DAO), Chitwan, granted naturalized citizenship certificates to a total of 39 people in the last fiscal year. As many as 35 people took citizenship certificates through marriage and four on the basis of naturalization.

CHITWAN, July 19: The District Administration Office (DAO), Chitwan, granted naturalized citizenship certificates to a total of 39 people in the last fiscal year. As many as 35 people took citizenship certificates through marriage and four on the basis of naturalization.


According to the information officer of DAO, Chitwan, Ananda Bansha Neupane, as many as 13,835 people took citizenship certificates on the basis of descent.

He also said that as many as 13,605 people who had lost their citizenship certificates received copies of their citizenship certificates. At the same time, the citizenship certificates of 11 people were revoked. Neupane said that 1,750 people made minor ID cards.


According to the data of DAO, Chitwan, 36,447 people have submitted details for the national identity card. Last year, 26,565 people received passport recommendations from the DAO. The officials of the DAO said that the office has collected revenue of Rs 133 million.


Most of the fees have been collected from passports, which is Rs 130.7 million.


Similarly, Rs 692,000 has been collected from administrative fines, Rs 1,384,000 from administrative service fees, Rs 4,420,000 for weapon license fees and Rs 9,000 have been collected for arrears, said Neupane.
