Daily turnover declines to Rs 5.15 billion as NEPSE slides 27.64 points

KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday plummeted by 27.64 points to close at 2,595.24 points.



The secondary market opened at 2,622.89 points and inclined to the day’s high at 2,627.13 points in around an hour. The index went downhill and reached the day’s low at 2,587.93 points in the last two minutes, while it recovered around eight points in the remaining period before the market closed for the day.

All the 13 groups were the losers. Life insurance and non-life insurance groups declined by the largest of 191.14 points and 133.80 points, respectively.


The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 3.93 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 5.15 billion from Rs 6.05 billion.


Among the individual companies, 34 were gainers while 213 were recorded as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of Rs 270.09 million.


Muktinath Krishi Company Limited was the topmost loser. Mabilung Energy Limited by adding 9.98 percent was recorded as the highest gainer.
