GORKHA, Oct 10: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who has registered his candidature from Gorkha Constituency No 2, has intensified the election-focused discussions and meetings.

After registering his candidacy on Sunday, Chairman Dahal stayed at the district headquarter of Gorkha and started meeting the central members of the party and other district officials at Hotel Garden from early morning.

Chairman Dahal also held a meeting and discussions with the local leaders of ruling Nepali Congress (NC) and Nepal Samajwadi Party. Rajendra Bajgai, NC candidate of the House of Representatives from Gorkha-1 Rajendra Bajgain and all the four province assembly candidates from the alliance– Krishna Dhital, Nanda Prasad Neupane, Phadindra Devkota and Surendra Raj Pandey– were present in the meeting.

Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Baburam Bhattarai and Maoist Center Senior Vice Chairman Narayankaji Shrestha also participated in the meeting. The election plan and program were discussed in the meeting. Dahal is also scheduled to meet the security chiefs of Gorkha in the context of the election.
