Dabur Nepal hands over greenhouse to PADT

The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, has a special importance for its socio-cultural and religious values.

In line with Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd’s vision of ‘dedicated to health and wellbeing of every household’, the company has been producing and marketing of a wide range of herbal and Ayurvedic products across the globe. Dabur Nepal, under its corporate social responsibility activities, has been actively supporting and promoting conservation of medicinal herbs in Nepal.

According to the press statement released by Dabur Nepal, it has partnered with the PADT to reconstruct and maintain a 14-year-old garden situated at Gaushala. Similarly, Dabur has also been helping the PADT in plantation of important indigenous trees and herbs species such as Rudraksha, Pipal, Bel, Chandan and Bar, among others, to enhance the greenery of Bankali and its adjacent areas.

To give continuity to such conservation efforts, A Sudhakar, head of Global Human Capital at Dabur Group, handed over a greenhouse to the Executive Director of PADT Ramesh Kumar Upreti at a function held recently in the holy garden of Pashupatinath.

The Greenhouse will help propagate saplings of various species including Rudraksham Swami, Kapur and Harsingar, among others, for plantation purposes. The press statement added that the greenhouse has the capacity of producing more than 50,000 saplings of rare, indigenous and religiously important plant species.

Dabur will provide the technical knowledge and plantation techniques to operate the greenhouse as per the press statement.
