CWC meeting of CPN (Unified Socialist) to be held on August 5 and 6

KATHMANDU, July 25: The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) party will be held in Kathmandu on August 5 and 6.

KATHMANDU, July 25: The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) party will be held in Kathmandu on August 5 and 6.


It is said that the meeting will decide the date and place of the party’s general convention. Dilu Panta, a member of the politburo of the party, said that preparations are being made to further expand the party across the country after the party's convention is completed in February, 2024. Panta said that the meeting will prepare the action plan and strategy necessary to establish the party at the basic level.

In the politburo meeting of the party to be held on August 3 and 4, it is said that work performance of all sister organizations of the party will be reviewed. The meeting will prepare a plan to organize the necessary political activities for the expansion of the party's structure and power so that it can compete alone in the upcoming elections.


The Standing Committee meeting of the party will be held on August 1 and 2. The secretariat meeting to be held on July 31 will prepare the proposals of the Standing Committee, politburo and CWC. The top leaders will be given the responsibility of implementing the decision of the meeting through informal discussions.
