Curfew lifted in Kanchanpur

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The curfew imposed in Kanchanpur since Saturday has been lifted on Sunday from 6 PM till 10 PM.

The curfew was clamped to control the situation as the protest by the locals worsened in the area after the death of Sunny Khuna on Friday while protesting against rape and murder of 13 years old Nirmala Panta.

The curfew will be imposed later till 5 AM on Monday. And again, it will be relaxed till 12 in the noon and will be re-imposed till further notice.
