KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Nuwakot District Administration Office will enforce curfew in the district to curb the spread of coronavirus from Nov 11 until further notice.
The district will also ban playing Deusi and Bhailo during this year’s Tihar festival.
The DAO has also urged everyone to follow the curfew order as the virus number is sharply increasing and the hospitals are overwhelmed.
In a bid to avoid unnecessary gatherings during Tihar, we decided to enforce curfew in the district, said Chief District Officer of Nuwakot, Jhankanath Dhakal.
Market and transport vehicles will be allowed to operate following health safety protocols.
The local government and police have been given the responsibility to monitor health safety guidelines.
619 people in Nuwakot have contracted the virus.
