BHAKTAPUR, August 12: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has opined for developing the Doleshwar area as a model tourist destination. Minister Bhattarai who arrived at the Sipadol-based Mahadev Temple today, came with the view that the area should be developed as a model religious touristic site after meeting all infrastructure requirements for the same.

He stressed unity among three tier (federal, provincial and local) governments to develop the site in a speedy manner. Similarly, lawmaker and former Minister Mahesh Basnet said that he was making his efforts to develop Surya Binayak Municipality as a religious and touristic municipality.

He also opined for making Shiva Circuit by linking all Shiva temples in all the 10 wards of the municipality. Basnet stressed on developing homestay at Ghyampedanda, Ranikot, Ashapuri, Nakhel and Kakrabari.
