KATHMANDU, Nov 22: A meeting of the CPN (UML) Standing Committee is being held today to discuss issues including five percent nominated representatives in the upcoming 10th National General Convention. Up to five percent of the total 1,999 delegates will be nominated in the general convention.
According to UML Party’s Headquarters Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, the meeting to be held at Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation at 3 PM will also discuss the preparations for the general convention.
UML to form 49-member standing committee (with names)
For the preparation of the General Convention, various committees have been formed under the leadership of Ram Bahadur Thapa and under the leadership of other leaders.
The meeting of the current Central Committee of the CPN-UML is scheduled to be held on the eve of the inauguration of the general convention. The UML General Convention is being held in Chitwan from November 26 to 28 to elect new leadership.
