KATHMANDU, August 26: The main opposition party, CPN-UML has summoned its central committee meeting on Thursday.
The meeting is scheduled to be held this afternoon at Tulsilal Memorial Building in Chyasal.

The meeting is likely to dwell on present political development, split of party and the future course of the party.
This is the first time that the party is holding its CC meeting after the splinter faction of UML-led by Madhav Kumar Nepal registered a new political party named CPN (Unified Socialist).
Nepal was able to garner support of 55 central committee members and 30 UM lawmakers to register the new party.
