CPN-UML Aryal elected as Mayor in Melamchi

KATHMANDU, May 18: CPN-UML has secured victory in Melamchi Municipality in the local level elections. According to the final result, Dambar Aryal garnered 8678 votes. His immediate rival Aita Man Tamang of Nepali Congress scored 7033 votes.

Bhagwati Nepal of CPN-UML scored 9117 votes and has elected as the deputy mayor. Her nearst rival Sabita Gurung of Nepali Congress scored 6739 votes.
