CPN (Maoist Center) holding its Standing Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU, April 27: A Standing Committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) is taking place today.

KATHMANDU, April 27: A Standing Committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) is taking place today. 


According to senior leaders of the party, the meeting is expected to dwell on the current political issues. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the party’s head office in Paris Dada, Kathmandu at 3 PM.

Sources said the meeting is likely to discuss further the proposal to register a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Oli. 


The Maoist Center has already expressed its support to any vote of no-confidence motion to be introduced by the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC). The two parties are currently awaiting a final decision of Janata Samajbadi Party to garner the required votes in parliament to topple the Oli-led government.
