KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Cricket Player Association, Nepal (CPAN) has announced the award to cricketers in five different categories.

According to the president of CPAN Dr Manish Raj Pandey, the award will be distributed in different categories including best cricketer of the year male and female, emerging player of the year, best moment of the year and lifetime achievement award.

The award ceremony is scheduled for April 3. 

Pandey also informed that the recipient of best cricketer male and female will be awarded the cash prize of Rs 131,000 and other winners will get an a cash prize of Rs 66,000 each.

Last year, the cash prize for the best Cricketer Male and Female was different.

A technical committee will be formed to select the winners for this year. However, the winner of the lifetime achievement award will be decided through public online voting.

CPAN has decided to provide awards to the cricketers as a tribute toward their contribution to Nepali cricket.
