KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Nepal on Sunday added 2,824 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), reported the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 1,778 males and 1,046 females tested positive for the virus during 13,023 real time - polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests carried out in the past 24 hours.
Test, test, test
The total number of infected cases has reached 173,567 which includes 134,842 recoveries and 960 deaths. MoHP on Sunday reported 3,620 recoveries and 23 fatalities linked with COVID-19.
There are still 37,765 active cases throughout the country as of Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley confirmed 1,357 new cases of the disease on Sunday. With this, the Valley’s COVID-19 case tally has advanced to 82,348 which accounts for 47.44 percent of the total confirmed cases across the country.
