LAHAN, July 22: One more patient from Province 2 has succumbed to novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
A 60-year-old patient from Mahottari district who had COVID-19 infection breathed his last while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan. He was admitted to the hospital on July 16 after he was tested positive for this viral disease.

Chief District Officer (CDO) of Mahottari Krishna Bahadur Katuwal confirmed his death at the isolation ward of the hospital. “His dead body has been brought to Mahottari. We are preparing for the management of the dead body,” said CDO Katuwal, adding that the Nepal Army personnel will carry out the job.
With this, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 infection has reached seven in Province 2 while the national death tally climbed to 41 as of Wednesday morning.
