Giri took to his Facebook account on Friday and announced that he along with his team will be donating Rs 110,000. He wrote in Nepali that is roughly translated as, “Film industry companions. This is a difficult time for technicians who feed us when we felt hungry, held an umbrella over us when we felt hot, handled lights to make us look good during shooting. So, let's all do something together. We have allocated Rs 110,000. Interested associates in the film sector can also inbox. Let's help out a little.”

Similar status was posted by Deepa Shree Niraula and Kedar Prasad Ghimire (Magne Buda) on their personal Facebook handle.

Nepali cinema sector is also well-versed in its hit, and its pains are affecting film technicians and others,” he wrote on Facebook on Friday

.“I would like to announce to help those film technicians and other helpers who have low economic status. I hope that Film Technical Association of Nepal (NEFTA) will co-operate with me during distribution work. I personally plan to contribute Rs. 500,000 at an earlier stage. I will always be with all of you who are actively engaging in the filmmaking field.”

The whole nation has been lockdown for over the week imposed by the government to stem the spread of the COVID-19. The daily wages workers of every walk of life are badly affected by the lockdown.
