KATHMANDU, Oct 14: The COVID-19 death rate in Chitwan district has been recorded highest of all the districts.
While the national COVID-19 death rate is currently 0.57 percent, the death rate in Chitwan stands at 1.28 percent.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
Data shows COVID-19 death rate in Chitwan district is more than double the rate of the whole country.
As many as 115,358 individuals have contracted the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal and 663 have died of the same disease, according to the latest data of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As per the Public Health Office, Chitwan, the COVID-19 case tally of the district has reached 2,869 with 77 new cases recorded on Tuesday. Likewise, the COVID-19 death toll stands at 64 including those who had come from other districts for the treatment.
Chitwan is also among the districts with the highest number of active cases in the country.
