COVID-19 cases climb to 32 in Nepal as one more person tested positive for coronavirus today (with video)

KATHMAND, April 21: One more COVID-19 case has been confirmed on Tuesday taking the number of total coronavirus infected patients in Nepal to 32, the Ministry of Health and Population said.


At a regular press briefing, the spokesperson at the ministry Bikash Devkota said that a throat swab specimen of a 32-year-old man from Udayapur district tested positive for coronavirus at National Public Health Lab in Teku, Kathmandu.

The infected person is undergoing treatment at Koshi Provincial Hospital in Biratnagar. Earlier this week, 13 persons mostly Indian Muslims staying under a quarantine facility in Triyuga of Udayaypur, tested for coronavirus. 


Of the 32 confirmed cases, there are now 28 active cases and all of them are receiving medical treatment at different hospitals. No death has been reported so far in Nepal due to this deadly virus.
