Tokha is the municipality with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the district

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The number of people contracting the COVID-19 has reached 825 in Tokha Municipality of Kathmandu district.

As many as 29 new cases of COVID-19 were detected on Sunday in the Municipal area.

So far, ward 3 of the Municipality has the highest of 95 cases of COVID-19 while ward 1 has the lowest of 21. Likewise, the ward 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 has recorded 51, 43, 86, 91, 80, 94, 55, 66 and 62 cases of COVID-19 respectively.

According to the spokesperson of the Municipality, Bachhuraj Basyal, 444 COVID-19 patients have recovered and returned home while 304 are currently undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Kathmandu.

As of today, three people have succumbed to COVID-19. They were from ward 4, 6 and 9 of the Municipality.

Tokha is the municipality with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Kathmandu district.
