KATHMANDU, July 2: A couple has been arrested on the charge of forging the signature of the Spokesperson at the Ministry of Home Affairs(MoHA) Ram Krishna Subedi.
The couple , who was arrested from the southern gate of Singha Durbar, has been identified as Laxmi Adhikari,33, a temporary resident of Dhulikhel and a permanent inhabitant of Nijgadh and her husband Rajan Kumar Thapa,38.
The police team from Metropolitan Police Range, Singha Durbar searched for them acting on a tip-off and finally arrested them with bogus government documents.
Police have seized 13 bank cheques, few passports and Rs 42,210 and other forged documents from the couple.
Police have started an investigation into the case.
