BHIMDATTANAGAR, March 2: The Sudurpaschim province government has set up health desks in seven different areas of the state for screening possible symptoms of coronovarus.

According to the province ministry of social development, the government has mobilized health workers' teams equipped with necessary technology in seven spots including in Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, and Kanchanpur.

Ministry spokesperson Hemraj Khadka informed that the health examination of passengers traveling through western checkpoints and Geta airport is taking place.

"Health screening desk has come into operation along Nepal-India border in Darchula and Baitadi and at Gadda checkpoint in Kanchanpur", spokesperson Khadka shared.

Health screening has been initiated in Geta airport, Dhangadhi checkpoint and Khangrola checkpoint of Kailali by mobilizing health teams, he further informed.

No one has been so far found with possible symptoms of coronavirus while carrying out screenings in the far-western areas, Khadka said.

It may be noted that the ministry of social development had taken a policy decision for corona response preparedness in January last week. Efforts are underway to develop a plan for health screening in government and non-government hospitals in the far-west.

Likewise, the Indian security force deputed in the Gaddachauki border area of Kanchanpur has made it mandatory for the general public to move through the Nepal-India border to wear the mask and also carried out health check-ups when possible symptoms detected.
