KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Coronavirus epidemic in China has caused a delay in the handover of historic Durbar High School.
With the completion of the school building, the Chinese government team was scheduled to visit Nepal for inspection, but the team could not come on time owing to the disease outbreak.
The reconstruction of the school building was over a month ago.
Construction manager Rajendra KC said the handover of the school building was planned within 19 months of the beginning of the construction. "Now, the Chinese government would hand over the building after the end of coronavirus," he informed.
China Aviation Planning and Designing Institute had prepared the building design. The historic school building was constructed in the same old style, though the materials used are different. The Chinese government had carried out the reconstruction of the school building.
