Constitution implementation possible only thru national unity: PM Dahal

POKHARA, Dec 31: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has asserted that constitution implementation would be possible only through the national unity among the political parties.

POKHARA, Dec 31: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has asserted that constitution implementation would be possible only through the national unity among the political parties. 



Honoring distinguished persons at the collective Tamu Lhochhar program organized by the Collective Tamu Lhochhar Program Celebration Main Committee, Pokhara here on Saturday, the PM urged all for sacrifice as it would be impossible to implement the constitution without unity. 



"One can gain or lose while making sacrifice," he said, adding that the country would take a course of economic prosperity after the implementation of the constitution and all the Nepalis will get happiness and peace. 



Praising the bravery and the sacrifices the Tamus (Gurungs) have demonstrated, the Prime Minister recalled the contribution the Tamu people have made in Nepal's democratic and loktantrik movements. 



He expressed the belief that the unity among the Tamus would contribute to preserving and promoting their language, culture and tradition. "The Tamu youths have surpassed all the ethnic communities and are playing a leading role in the field of engineering and science within the country and abroad." 



PM Dahal said the day when a Gurung ascends to the post of Prime Minister is not far. 



On the occasion, the Prime Minister had honored 12 distinguished persons. They are Executive Chief of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kulman Ghising, engineer Sandip Tamu, justice Satya Raj Tamu, social workers Danda Tamu, Captain Rup Bahadur Tamu, Captain Man Bahadur Tamu, Dal Bahadur Tamu, Min Prasad Tamu, Maya Tamu, Pol Bahadur Tamu, Yug Tamu and media person Indira Tamu. 



Coordinator of the Tamu Lhochhar Programme Main Committee Karma Tamu presided over the program. 



Before this, 18 different Tamu organizations organized a Lhochhar celebration rally with pageantry accompanied by musical band. The procession started from local Chipledhunga and went around the city. RSS
