NEPALGUNJ, Dec 12: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has stated that consensus with the ruling parties will be forged if the government revokes the newly registered constitution amendment bill.
At a press conference organized by the Press Chautari, Banke Chapter at Nepalgunj on Monday, leader Oli commented that the country was misled by the politicians who he blamed were confusing the people in the name of identity.
The former Prime Minister said, "The political crisis is caused by those politicians who register a party in the name of class and do ethnicity-based politics."
Oli was of the confidence that the constitution amendment bill registered on November 29 in an attempt to bring on board the dissenting Madheshi Front will not be endorsed by parliament.
The chairman of the main opposition party argued that there was no alternative to the government to revoke the bill as he claimed that the public were not happy with the government's move. RSS
