SURKHET, Nov 19: A conjoint twin girls have been born in the district on Sunday. Lalita Buda of Raskot Minicipality-5 of Kalikot delivered the twins at Province Hospital, Surkhet through the surgery.
The newly born girls weigh 3.6 kg. It has been reported that all three are in good health. The conjoint are incubate at NICU. According to pediatric Dr Nava Raj KC, the girls are joint at chest and upper abdomen.
“We are waiting for the x-ray report to know the condition of their liver and heart. We can see their chest and upper abdomen joint”, he added.
According to Dr KC, this is the first case in the hospital of its kind. Following the complication in the delivery, the mother was referred by district hospital to the provincial hospital.
