RASUWA, July 12: A conflict victim who reached Dhunche for relief died on Tuesday.
According to District Public Health Chief, Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam, Rath Bahadur Gurung, 45, of Thulo Gaun of Uttagaya rural municipality – 3 died in course of treatment at the district hospital.
Gurung has been verified as a person victimized at the hands of both state's armed forces and the rebels during the decade long insurgency. He had arrived to submit application for relief but suddenly fell ill and was rushed to the hospital where he died in course of health examination. His lungs and liver are set to have stopped functioning.
Gurung had submitted the application on Monday and was in course of receiving an identity card on Tuesday. The locals have appealed to the concerned authorities to help Gurung's poverty-stricken family. RSS
