KATHMANDU, Feb 2: A complaint has been filed against CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli by Youth Congress Nepal, an umbrella organization of the Nepali Congress (NC) at the District Administration Office of Bhaktapur.
Youth Congress Nepal members Abhijeet Adhikari and Birendra Madai filed a joint complaint against the former prime minister, stating that the leader had visited public places and attended programs, despite being infected by COVID-19. The complaint seeks legal action against CPN-UML Chairman Oli under the Infectious Diseases Act 2020.
In the complaint, it is stated that Oli had attended a blood donation program organized by the youth association of Balkot on January 26 and accused him of transmitting the diseases as he was infected by the deadly virus.
As per the Infectious Diseases Act 2020 (3), anyone breaking the rules will be kept in prison for one month or will be fined Rs 100-200.
