"We don’t work in our country but we make much effort for the same task abroad. This should be corrected and make a common spirit for the sustainable developments of the country," Karki added.

Minister Karki, who is also the government spokesperson, said that preparations were going on to practically implement the slogan of 'Mobile in every hand, Internet at every home' by providing internet connectivity for free in each school and hospital at first.

Likewise, he said that the journalism was centered to political parties and urban areas and suggested to make journalism rural-centric.

Also speaking at the program, President of Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature-Parliament Dor Prasad Upadhyay said that the NT should run in a transparent way and hailed the economic contributions of NT terming it immense.

Similarly, Chairman of Board of Directors of Nepal Telecom and Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications Mahendra Man Gurung said that the NT should be made a pioneer service providing company instead of profit making one. RSS
