KANCHANPUR Jan 13: Member of Parliament, Diwan Singh Bista, on Thursday expressed his commitment towards continuing development programmes. 

The lawmaker made the statement while inaugurating the Second Town Council of Beldandi Municipality, Kanchanpur. 

Bista added that he has risen above partisan interests to work for development. "The postal highway that connects the southern parts of the district along with the upgradation of the Shuklaphanta reserve into a park was held under by initiative," he argued. 

On the occasion, Municipality's CEO, Ganesh Datta Bhatta, presented a budget of Rs 91.4 million for the fiscal year 2017/18. 

The budget straddles a plethora of development projects including road construction, dam construction, scholarships, health posts' physical infrastructure, bridges, culvert construction, conservation of lakes and empowerment schemes for Dalit, women, differently abled and children. RSS
