Coca-Cola Cup girls’ semifinals line-up completed

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The girls’ section semifinals line-up of the ongoing Coca-Cola Cup Inter-School National Football Tournament has been completed on Tuesday. 


Setidevi Sharda Secondary School of Sindhupalchowk, Kailali’s Shree Shankar Saraswoti School, Bhumre Secondary School of Syangja and Shree Durga Secondary School of Rautahat secured their berths in the last four. 

Setidevi, Shree Shankar and Bhumre booked their places in the semifinals as the group winners of A, B and C while Shree Durga earned its place as best-runner up. 

In the last group stage matches of the tournament played at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Shree Durga registered thumping 7-0 win over Bright Future Secondary School (Kathmandu) while Amar English School (Kathmandu) recorded 3-1 victory over Nepalaya English Secondary School (Kathmandu). 

Rashmi Kumari Ghising scored four goals for Shree Durga while Nikita Thokar and Sabita Rana Magar added one goal each. 

Similarly, Renuka Tamang, Swikriti Adhikari and Rashmi Shrestha netted one goal each in Amar’s win and Amisha Karki replied for Nepalaya. 

In other match, Shree Adarsha Higher Secondary School of Sunsari overcame Chhahari Sikshya Sadan of Kathmandu 6-0. Suja Magar scored a brace for Shree Adarsha whereas Karuna Rai, Sushma Magar, Jeena Bista and Manisha Bista added one goal each for the winning side. Despite the big margin win, Shree Adarsha crashed out from the tournament along with Chhahari.
