CM urges center to bring needed laws without delay

DHANGADHI, March 23: Chief Minister of Province 7 Trilochan Bhatta said that the provincial government has not been able to work in a full-fledged manner due to delay on the part of the federal government to delegate executive powers to the provincial governments. 

He said that the provincial governments have not been able to function smoothly as the central government has been dillydallying to formulate necessary laws which would allow to the provincial bodies to formulate necessary laws on their own and operate in full-fledged manner. 

“We have not been able to operate the provincial government properly as the federal government has yet to delegate executive powers to us. So, in lack of jurisdiction, we are handicapped,” he said. 

He also said that the provincial bodies are also facing crunch of expert manpower as the officials deputed by the center have yet to report to their new offices in the provinces. “We have already reported our problems to the prime minister,” he added. 

He said that the provincial government will be able to work as per public expectations only after the formulation of the necessary laws and unveiling of provincial budgets.
