DHANGADHI, March 16: Referring to the recent gun attack on Mayor Mamata Prasad Chaudhary of Ghodaghodi Municipality in Kailali district, Province 7 Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta has instructed the security bodies to be on alert to maintain security in the province.
CM Bhatta returned to Dhangadhi after participating in the president's election held in Kathmandu. Immediately after returning, he summoned the security officials to his office to get updates on the current security situation and instructed them to tighten security, according to the Office of Chief Minister.
“The provincial government is very serious about the security of our people,” said CM Bhatta. “As security risk is increasing, I felt the need to instruct the security bodies to tighten security,” he added.
On Thursday, Federal Province Police Office chief AIG Madhav Nepal, Kailali's Chief District Officer Govinda Prasad Rijal, Armed Police Force chief Shyam Koirala and Kailali District Police Office chief Binod Ghimire were summoned to the CM's office.
