How was your experience performing in Janakpur?
We really enjoyed performing in front of the Janaki Temple. It was our third time performing there. And we felt blessed performing amid the religious ambiance that accentuated as it was the eve of Chhath festival. It was not just a performance but an opportunity to bond the tarai and hilly regions through music.

What was it like collaborating with Boyd Meets Girl and MINAP?
Both Rupert and Laura were friendly and they picked up our music really well. They also know how to deliver a great performance. MINAP and Kutumba have a long relationship since 2008, and we felt honored to have collaborated with them for Gharana. We have done a lot of collaborations with a lot of artists so far, so it was not hard at all.
What did the collaboration mean for you?
Collaboration is necessary for an artist or a band because it helps widen and sharpen the artist or a band in lot of different ways. It’s a chance to learn something new. We feel privileged to have been chosen for the festival and the chance to work. Gharana Music Foundation has a bigger goal to introduce western classical music in Nepal and we hope to find opportunities where we can work together in the future.
What do music festivals mean for the Nepali music industry?
Music festivals help in keeping the industry alive and the musicians grow. We are very thankful to Gharana team for organizing such a festival here. And even more for choosing the festival venue outside Kathmandu, for only handful of music festivals happen outside Kathmandu.
