KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Agitating students at Tribhuvan University Institute of Medical Sciences (IOM) in Maharajgunj have engaged in clash with police personnel in front of the medical campus on Tuesday.
Students are staging protests demanding reforms in the IOM. They have even padlocked the campus to exert pressure on the TU authorities to meet their demands. There was a clash between the students and police personnel after the latter broke the padlock.
Police have detained a few agitating students. The police even lathi-charged the students to take them under control before detaining them. The agitating students have also protested against police as the latter entered the IOM premises and resorted lathi-charge against students.
