KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stressed on the clarity of vision in the party-line to set up a foundation to socialism. 

"If we lack clear vision, and day to day practice, manner and lifestyle according to the vision, we are sure to have the same fate as of communist parties from Eastern Europe," Chairman Dahal said while addressing a program organized on the occasion of Fifth Memorial Day of communist leader Sahana Pradhan on Monday in Kathmandu.

Dahal stressed the need for a strong party force to launch a new mission to make it to socialism and maintain confidence among the people. He further reiterated that it was a time for action to achieve the dream of socialism. 

Another speaker of the program senior leader of NCP Jhalanath Khanal said that it is necessary to expedite activities for gender quality which will be the best honor to Late Pradhan. “We, at first, must ensure women participation in our party line to materialize the dream of Sahana Pradhan who struggled hard for the cause,” Khanal added. 

Late Pradhan had led United Left Front during the People’s Movement in 1990 and also served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs in the cabinet led by Late Girija Prasad Koirala after the Popular Movement of 2006.
