RAJBIRAJ, Nov 23: CK Raut, chairman of Janamat Party, has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Saptari-2 with a landslide victory. He defeated Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) President Upendra Yadav by a wide margin of 18,073 votes.
CJ Raut faces challenges ahead to restore public trust
While Raut obtained 35,042 votes, his competitor Yadav managed to get 16,969 votes. Jayaprakash Thakur of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, the common candidate from the ruling alliance, finished a distant third with 7,344 votes.
