KATHMANDU, March 28: Citytech has officially launched Getpay, a payment orchestration and merchant management platform, marking a significant milestone in the country's digital payment landscape. The launch took place at Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL).
According to Citytech, Getpay is designed to simplify and streamline payment processing for banks and financial institutions across Nepal. Issuing a press release, the company has stated that the platform integrates multiple payment channels into one unified system, offering enhanced merchant management capabilities and automating payment processes.
“Getpay allows merchants to view all transactions through a single window, consolidating operations for greater efficiency,” the statement read.

MBL has already implemented Getpay into its daily operations, highlighting the platform's effectiveness in simplifying merchant management and payment processing. At the launch program, the bank's Digital Banking team expressed satisfaction with the new system, noting that Getpay provides a centralized view of transaction flows, settlements, and merchant activity, which significantly enhances operational efficiency and service delivery.
Citytech emphasized that the launch represents a transformative step in advancing Nepal's digital payment ecosystem. “Getpay empowers Nepalese banks with world-class payment technology, streamlining operations while providing valuable transaction insights,” said a spokesperson from Citytech. “It enables smarter decision-making and operational excellence in a fast-evolving fintech landscape.”
Nepal Clearing House Limited also welcomed the launch, expressing the belief that Getpay will strengthen the country's digital payment infrastructure. "This partnership positions Nepal prominently within the regional fintech sector, helping to build a robust and reliable payment ecosystem," said a representative from NCHL.
