KATHMANDU, March 25: Citizens Bank International Ltd has appointed Ganesh Raj Pokharel as its chief executive officer (CEO). The 295th meeting of the board of directors of the commercial bank held on Monday decided to appoint Pokharel to the post for four years with effect from April 1, according to a statement issued on Monday.
He is the acting CEO of the bank at present. Before assuming the post of acting CEO, Pokharel, a professional banker with more than 25 years of experience, worked as the assistant CEO of the bank for nearly a decade. According to the statement, his area of expertise includes overall business operations and development. He holds an Executive MBA degree in Finance from Kathmandu University and MBA (Marketing) and BL (Banking) degrees from Tribhuvan University, the statement added.
