KATHMANDU, August 10: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a charge-sheet at the Special Court on Wednesday, accusing Sub-engineer Rambabu Yadav of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division No. 2 Okhaldhunga, of submitting fake academic certificates in order to receive benefits and privileges of a government position.

The CIAA has filed the charge-sheet against Yadav, demanding imprisonment and fine as per Section 16 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 2059.

The CIAA filed the charge-sheet against Yadav after it was revealed that he had submitted fake certificates of Diploma in Civil Engineering, character certificate and transcript to the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division 2, Okhaldhunga, claiming that he had passed the course from Sunsari Technical College, Dharan. Yadav received his salary and other perks and benefits from the office from August 2019 to June 2020 by submitting fake documents, the CIAA has claimed.
