KATHMANDU, Sept 20: A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing of Special Committee (PHSC) is scheduled to hear newly recommended Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Nabin Ghimire on Thursday.
The meeting will take place at 1 pm. The PHSC had allocated 10 days’ time until September 17 for registering complaints against Ghimire. However, no complaints have been registered against him so far.
On September 5, the Constitutional Council (CC) had recommended Ghimire as the chief of the CIAA that had been headless for seven months.
If his name is endorsed by the PHSC, he will be appointed as the CIAA chief by the President.
