KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, pledging Beijing’s full support to the Government of Nepal and the Nepali people.

In the message, Chinese Premier Li wished success to the present government. The congratulatory letter sent by the Chinese counterpart was handed over to PM Dahal by Acting Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Wang Xin, during a courtesy call on Friday. 

"China will assist the government you (Dahal) are leading for the economic development in Nepal,” reads the message.

On Friday itself, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava, also handed over a congratulatory message sent by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Prime Minister Dahal, who was appointed as the new prime minister on Sunday with the support of CPN-UML and other parties in parliament.
