KATHMANDU, Nov 4: In a bid to take stock of the investment climate and opportunities in Nepal, a Chinese delegation held a meeting with the office-bearers of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in the capital on Friday.
A six-member delegation headed by Deputy Director General of the Commerce Department of Unan Province of China, Yang Whee discussed with the FNCCI office-bearers in the areas of possible collaboration on water preservation, energy, road, bridge, infrastructure development, investment and import-export.
During the meeting, Nepali entrepreneurs including FNCCI Vice-Chairperson Dinesh Shrestha, Energy Committee Chairperson Gyanendra Lal Pradhan and Banking Committee Chairperson Shanker Prasad Pandey briefed the Chinese delegation that Nepal has umpteen opportunity for investment with the country moving towards political stability.
The FNCCI office-bearers urged the Chinese delegation to flow investment in the areas of energy, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure development. RSS
