KATHMANDU, May 1: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi held separate meetings with Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the party's Foreign Relations Department chief Madhav Kumar Nepal on Friday.
According to Dahal's secretariat, the executive chairperson expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its support to Nepal in battling the novel coronavirus. During the meeting held at Dahal's residence in Khumaltar, the chairperson also sought China's continued support to Nepal's socio-economic endeavors.
After her meeting with Dahal, the Chinese envoy met the former prime minister and NCP's Foreign Relations Department chief at his residence in Koteswar. "The duo held discussions on various aspects of Nepal-China friendly ties," the deputy chief of the department, Bishnu Rijal, tweeted.
Earlier on Thursday, the Chinese ambassador met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Prime Minister's Residence in Baluwatar.
