KATHMANDU, April 17: The government of China has handed over the various stationery materials, necessary for the upcoming local level election to the Election Commission (EC) on Monday.
The Chinese government has provided various materials worth Rs 144.40 million useful for the upcoming local level polls stipulated for May 14. Secretary of the EC, Gopinath Mainali and the Chinese ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong signed and exchanged the documents of the supply of the materials in the presence of the Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Ayodhee Prasad Yadav.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Yadav appreciated the assistance from the Chinese government and said that this support would further strengthen the relation between two neighbor countries.
Similarly, Chinese envoy to Nepal, Yu said that the Chinese government is very interest to expand its support to Nepal in various sectors and wished the EC for the successful completion of the upcoming local level election.
The Chinese government has provided gel pens, stamp pad, calculators and other stationery materials that are useful for the election.
