KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The construction of the Chilime-Trishuli 220 kV transmission line, which has been started to transmit the electricity generated from the hydropower projects under construction including those along the Trishuli River and its tributaries to the national system, has reached its final stage.
The construction of the 28 km long transmission line from the Chilime Hub Substation at Thambuchet in Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality of Rasuwa to the Trishuli 3B Hub Substation at Paharebesi in Kispang Rural Municipality of Nuwakot has reached its final stage.

The remaining construction work of the transmission line is being completed and it will be put into operation before December. Under the Chilime-Trishuli 220 kV transmission line project, the construction of 220/132/33 kV Chilime Hub and Trishuli 3B Hub substations have been completed.
Out of the 76 towers along the transmission line, 75 have been completed. One tower connection work is in its final stage. Out of the 28 km transmission line, only a five km stretch is yet to be laid.
A team including the Nepal Electricity Authority's Managing Director Kulman Ghising, Deputy Managing Director of Broadcasting Directorate Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha and other high-level officials carried out an on-site monitoring of the transmission line construction work on Saturday and fixed the deadline to be able to finish the work before Dashain.
