In the meeting, lawmakers of the Oli-led faction requested the Dahal-Nepal faction to withdraw the no-confidence motion filed against CM Rai, according to Angbo, a former provincial minister. “However, we rejected the request,” he added.

The meeting also discussed conducting the provincial assembly meeting called for February 21 smoothly and fairly. “We are ready to respect the decision made by the assembly and the Oli-led faction, too, should be ready for that,” he said.

Angbo also accused CM Rai of having the intention of dissolving the provincial assembly “if things do not go his way”.
